About the JobFoodservice & Hospitality Company in the Detroit area is seeking an experienced Controller.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain other planning and control procedures, analyze and report variances for this account.
* Reports on various cost centers, which requires interaction with facility management and supervision of accounting and budgetary controls in unit.
* Develops, interprets and analyzes accounting information in order to appraise operating in terms of profitability.
* Communicates with various home office departments.
* Prepares reports, which outline unit’s financial position.
* Provides proper preparation of statements.
Requirements:
* A four-year degree in Accounting or Finance required.
* Five years of financial experience as a controller or public accounting experience; internal audit experience a plus. Experience managing a multi-accounts business and supervisory experience is required.
* Strong analytical skills, good interpersonal skills, and planning and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials or similar accounting software.
* Ability to meet deadlines, to take initiative, to work under pressure and high work standards.
